Requirements and Description The Customer Service Supervisor safely and efficiently leads and coordinates the efforts of customer service/ ramp personnel and ensures the timely delivery of all services for airlines as contracted. The Customer Service Supervisor takes accountability for safety, operation standards, training, and policy implementation.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities - Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Monitors and enforces safe working habits, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
- Enforces Company policies and procedures, including disciplinary action, and promotes Unifi policies on Equal Employment Opportunity, Professional Conduct, and diversity initiatives and investigates and responds to employee relations issues in a timely manner.
- Communicates with Manager concerning any problems or issues.
- Schedules and conducts shift meetings, observations
- Assists in the administration of payroll; completes shift paperwork and performs other administrative functions.
- Performs job duties of assigned shift (i.e., ramp, cabin service, cargo, baggage, passenger service).
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Responsibilities for Customer Service Supervisor - Safely lift, load, unload and transport baggage, mail, and cargo from aircraft to airport
- Maintain on-time connections by guiding aircraft to and from gate positions
- Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss, and weather conditions
- Drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt loaders
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure correct routing of baggage
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions
- Report equipment problems and breakdowns to facilitate fast repairs
- Able to perform trainer duties
Qualifications for Customer Service Supervisor - Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Eligible to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
- Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage routing
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends, and holidays. Some shifts may require extended hours to meet business needs.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and move items up to 70 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Must be able to observe, judge distances, identify surroundings, hazards, aircrafts and equipment.
- Must be able to communicate by radio and other devices.
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
- One+ year of relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
- Excel proficiency required
- 24*7 availability required
- Travel 15%+ required
