Job Type Full-timeDescriptionCERAMIC TILE INSTALLERMADISON, WIWe are seeking a qualified Ceramic Tile Installer for residential tile installations in Dane County and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for all aspects of tile installations.Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerDuties:Pick up installation paperwork and materials at warehouseDrive to various job sitesCarry tools to job siteCarry product to job siteVentilate the work area as much as possibleMove and replace furnitureTear out oldClean up the area immediately after the old one is removed. Prepare area for tile installationMake sure area is smooth; Apply plywood or Masonite and waterproofed, if neededInspect surface to be covered to ensure that it is firm and dryCut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces/cornersUse hand and power cutting toolsMix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tile to adhere to using a brush or trowelAlign, straighten, and level tile using levels, squares, straightedges, and/or spacersLet completely set; dryFinish and dress the joints with groutWipe excess from tiles using damp spongeQualifications:High School Diploma is required; some college preferredMust show proficient knowledge of tile installation; 3-5 years minimumMust possess the proper tools for installationReliable transportationMust have a valid driver's license RequirementsRequired Knowledge and SkillsCore CompetenciesCustomer service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer serviceMathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.Understand and communicate numerical data.
