Salary Range: $115,731.20-$160,680.00 per annum (commensurate with experience)
Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial functions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. The CFO ensures fiscal integrity, long-term financial sustainability, and compliance with religious nonprofit corporation accounting standards. This includes oversight of budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, investments, and audits. The CFO collaborates closely with the General Council and Treasurer to steward resources in alignment with the Congregation’s mission and values.
Essential Functions: This position is not limited to the essential functions listed below. Other projects and duties may be assigned.
· Provide strategic leadership for all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, and financial planning.
· Oversee the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
· Oversee Catholic responsible investment portfolios in collaboration with the leadership team and the Investment Advisory Committee.
· Direct and supervise the Finance and Human Resource departments and collaborate with directors on budgetary management.
· Assure strong internal controls and financial procedures.
· Direct the annual audit in collaboration with the Finance team.
· Advise the leadership team on financial strategies and sustainability planning.
· Serve as liaison to the Finance Advisory Committee and Investment Advisory Committee.

Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred). </p>
· Minimum Experience Requirements:
Ø Minimum 7 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in a religious nonprofit or religious setting.
Ø Knowledge of religious nonprofit financial regulations and reporting.
Ø Proven experience in investments oversight and working with Investment Managers.
Ø Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ø Deep appreciation for and commitment to the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange.

Technical Skills: · Proficiency in nonprofit accounting systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Sage Intacct, MIP, QuickBooks). · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting. · Familiarity with donor-advised fund tracking, endowment management, and grant reporting. · Competence in implementing and managing financial systems.
