Chief Information Officer
REPORTS TO: President
Salary: $120,000 plus benefits
Location: Greensburg, PA

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading all technology functions across the organization. This role ensures that business systems, engineering services, logistics, planning tools, and information flow support company operations and customer needs. The CIO drives innovation, oversees IT strategy, and leads the IT team to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management
• Oversee IT operations, including budgeting and all personnel functions (hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and development).
• Model strong leadership and create a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Ensure IT team goals for quality, service, and delivery are met or exceeded.
• Support and uphold company core values and key initiatives, including safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain adherence to all IT and quality management system procedures.
• Participate in leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
Technology Strategy & Innovation
• Lead research, development, and implementation of modern IT solutions.
• Encourage innovative thinking to improve processes, systems, and overall performance.
• Participate in strategic planning and advise leadership on IT opportunities or risks.
• Stay current on evolving applications, systems, and infrastructure technologies.
• Oversee network administration, including security, backups, user accounts, and system performance.
• Conduct technology needs assessments and recommend improvements.
• Deploy hardware and software to support organizational growth.
• Assist in planning and supporting telecom, network, and computing infrastructure across all locations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Respond to requests for information and support from internal departments.
• Define clear roles and responsibilities for IT team members.
• Partner with departments to identify technology improvements and resolve issues.
• Provide user training for basic IT operations and system changes.
• Manage secure network access for onsite and remote users.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
Operations & Project Execution
• Recommend and implement technology upgrades to enhance enterprise operations.
• Support new product, service, and process introductions from an IT perspective.
• Lead IT projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
• Ensure data accuracy, system security, and proper execution of the IT roadmap.
• Establish technology standards, resolve system issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate schedules and resources with user departments to complete IT projects effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including oversight of teams, budgets, and technology strategy
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and enterprise systems
• Experience managing cross-functional technology projects from planning through implementation
• Proven success implementing new systems, technologies, or digital transformation initiatives
• Hands-on experience in system administration, security protocols, and data protection
• Experience developing and executing IT roadmaps, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner across an organization
