Unified Women’s Healthcare is the leading national platform for women’s healthcare. Our affiliated practice  OBGYN Associates of Central Florida  is seeking a Full Time Nurse Midwife and/or Nurse Partitioner in Orlando, Florida.

 

Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Central Florida is the premier women’s health care group in South Orange and Osceola County serving Kissimmee, Lake Nona, Hunters Creek and Winter Garden (4 locations). Their mission remains to provide patients with compassionate, comprehensive women’s health services through adolescence, the reproductive years, pregnancy and through menopause. This care center offers flexibility and opportunity to work with some of the best physicians in the Orlando area.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Join established practice with 3 physicians and 3 Advanced Practitioners
  • Hours of Business: Monday -Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8am to 12pm 
  • Work week will vary
  • Patient volume: 20-25 patients per day
  • Effectively identifies, evaluate and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
  • Provide pre- and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
  • Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with the physician, other providers and practice manager, which allows for consultation, collaboration or referral. Works in a leadership role with the staff.
  • Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic and long-term healthcare issues.
  • Educated patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues and the use of prescribed medical treatment and/or medication.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures.
  • Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history

Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

  • National Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician.
  • One year of full-time experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Physician Assistant Requirements:

  • National Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain
  • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
