Mission

We envision God’s peace planted in individuals, homes, and communities. So, we engage partners to equip Latin American leaders to foster a movement that multiplies disciples, leaders and churches.

IMPACT is the overall organization and the primary face in the U.S., addressing organizational development, prayer mobilization, communications, and fundraising. PIC Latinoamérica (Spanish for Community Church Planting or CCP) is IMPACT’s ministry model or program, and primary face in Latin America.

IMPACT’s executive leadership team is composed of an executive director, operations director, and field director (director of CCP Latin America).

Qualifications

Each member of IMPACT’s executive leadership team exemplifies the following:

  1. Committed to Christ, Christ's church, and cause, in accordance with the Lausanne Covenant. Leading and serving out of intimacy with God maintained through spiritual practices both individual and corporate. Living and leading with integrity in all aspects of life and ministry.

  2. Theological and missiological preparation.

  3. Vision for the multiplication of disciples, leaders, and churches. Internalized understanding of CCP principles. Track record of multiplying disciples, leaders, and groups.

  4. Spiritual gifts of leadership, teaching, and faith.

  5. Broad knowledge and understanding of Latin America. Functional competence in Spanish and English.

  6. Good relational people skills. Cross-cultural competence, valuing people of other races and cultures as equals, relating with and portraying people and cultures in ways that are honoring.

  7. Good communication skills - - both writing and public speaking. Able to preach and teach effectively.

  8. Creative, idea person, problem solver. Intrinsically motivated self-starter. Taking initiative and being able to work without much structure or being able to create what structure is needed.

Shared responsibilities

Each member of IMPACT’s executive leadership team is responsible for the following, individually and together:

  1. Uphold, communicate, and embody the mission, vision, and values of IMPACT both within and outside the organization.

  2. Discern God's will and lead IMPACT to implement the mission, vision, and values through strategic planning, organizational development, maintaining the sweet spot between chaos and order. (See The Chaordic Organization diagram)

  3. Represent IMPACT to the public – churches, individuals, and foundations.

  4. Develop and maintain strategic alliances with partnering denominations and organizations, with appropriate MOU’s.

  5. Participate with fundraising by cultivating and maintaining relationships with major donors (individuals, churches, and foundations).

  6. Mobilize and oversee IMPACT’s resources: human, economic, materials, communication, prayer.

  7. Serve as editorial board for curriculum development.

  8. Determine and/or approve reporting and goal setting.

Supervision and Working Relationships

  1. Maintain open communication among the executive leadership team members.

  2. Periodically meet with the L5 PIC/CCP Leadership Team.

Operations Director

Unique qualifications

  1. Strategic organization and effective management.

  2. Training and experience in development, both communications and fundraising.

Specific responsibilities

  1. Lead in IMPACT’s overall organizational development. Oversee and implement strategic planning, starting with the organizational infrastructure needed to fulfill the current plan to double our network from 2023 to 2026. Manage the creative tension between chaos and order, hierarchy and network.

  2. Along with the development director, seek to engage partners, creating and growing a community of support in the U.S. – individuals, churches and foundations that join us in prayer, volunteering, and giving financially.

  3. Work with the development director to raise the annual budget, overseeing creation and implementation of fundraising and marketing plans, and grant writing.

  4. Participate in high level fundraising – cultivating and thanking major donors and foundations.

  5. Explore and implement planned giving, investment strategies and other creative funding resources for long term financial sustainability.

  6. Oversee federal (IRS), state, and Evangelical Council on Financial Accountability (ECFA) requirements for fiscal, legal, and human resource compliance. Work with the field director and CCP/PIC administrative team to ensure appropriate fiscal, legal and human resource compliance in the countries where IMPACT has employees or contractors.

  7. Oversee financial processes, coordinating with treasurer and financial manager to pursue financial health and sustainability, including budgeting and funds transfers. Ensure and oversee appropriate financial reporting, policies and processes in the US and Latin America.

  8. Serve as a nexus between operational staff and field staff, maintaining good communication and accurately representing the work on the field to the US audience and vice versa.

  9. Attend board meetings and report to the board of directors as requested by the executive director.

Supervision and working relationships

  1. Reports to the executive director, coordinates with the field director, participates with the executive leadership team.

  2. Supervises the development director.

  3. Coordinates with the board treasurer and oversees the financial manager.

  4. Coordinates with PIC/CCP support teams for communications, administration, and prayer.

Terms of employment

  1. This is a full-time role. The operations director is expected not to assume other paid functions without the approval of the executive director.

  2. Salary depending on experience (paid monthly) plus up to $1,000 per month health insurance allowance.

  3. Funds for travel and office expenses as described in the approved budget. The operations director shall submit receipts to document expenses.
