Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and strong procedural background.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management departments of a hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma Center with mandatory floating within Radiology and Pain units, and may float to other departments within 50 miles as required
• Day shift schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm, 5x8s, occasional weekend days
• On-call rotation assigned weekly, Monday through Friday (12am-8am), and 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends and holidays
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Staff required to wear lead during procedures
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures and supporting patient care before, during, and after interventions
• Scrub color is navy blue and scrubs are not provided
• Proof of COVID vaccination is required but booster is not mandatory
• Strict compliance with documentation and onboarding deadlines is expected
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no weekend or holiday RTO approved
• Parking available for $2/day with shuttle service
• Team-based support model is used if floated outside primary specialty

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IL RN license required prior to consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology or Pain Management
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations prior to start
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of accepting assignment
• Locals accepted if residing within a 75-mile radius
