The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide compassionate, low-barrier nursing care to unhoused individuals in a facility, an adult residential SUD treatment facility and wellness center in Skid Row. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the RN will deliver direct care, oversee nursing support, collaborate with providers, and uphold clinical protocols to promote recovery and overall wellness. This role is essential to our mission of offering transformative, trauma-informed care rooted in harm reduction and social justice.


Responsibilities:


- Deliver patient-centered nursing services, including assessments, individualized care plans, wound care, medication administration, phlebotomy, and care coordination.
- Provide health education and risk reduction counseling, including overdose prevention and Narcan training.
- Monitor patients in observation beds, recognize signs of intoxication/withdrawal, and respond to crises.
- Collaborate with social workers, case managers, and harm reduction specialists to address complex medical, mental health, and substance use needs.
- Guide and support Medical Assistants, assist with staff orientation, and facilitate training on harm reduction practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation, intake/discharge procedures, and compliance with protocols.
- Support daily operations and quality improvement with leadership staff.


Requirements:


- Valid California RN license and CPR certification.
- 3+ years of clinical experience, ideally in community health or serving vulnerable populations.
- Commitment to providing care in non-traditional settings with a harm reduction approach.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural competence skills; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
