About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to combat human trafficking and modern-day slavery. The successful candidate will be a key executive leader, responsible for designing and driving the global fundraising strategy. This role demands a visionary and executor who can lead a team, cast a compelling vision for resourcing the movement, and actively engage in hands-on fundraising, particularly in the areas of corporate giving and major gifts. The VP of Development will oversee a multi-channel fundraising strategy, manage a team, and be fully accountable for meeting the organization's annual revenue goals. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive leadership role. The role requires a proven track record in closing major gifts, developing corporate fundraising initiatives, and managing fundraising across various revenue streams. The ideal candidate will be highly relational, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will demonstrate a deep passion for social justice and the mission of the organization. Responsibilities also include team leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the establishment of systems for tracking progress toward fundraising goals. The VP of Development will be expected to maintain a professional, high-accountability fundraising culture and ensure the efficient allocation of resources to achieve a strong return on investment.
