This position will perform in collaboration with the physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to assure that patient care is delivered in a caring and efficient manner throughout Geisinger in an effort to increase patient satisfaction and patient outcomes. Assists in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the physician. Functions as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families and physicians.
Reports clinically to the Chief AP/GI and administratively to Operations Director.
This role will also practice .3 FTE at Geisinger Shamokin Area Hospital.
